Camp Elim Cancellation Policy for Holiday Makers

  • Cancellation requests are at the discretion of Management.
  • Cancellations must be advised in writing and will be acknowledged by Camp Elim in writing.
  • All cancellations will attract a minimum fee of $10 to cover any administration costs.

COVID-19 Allowances

  • To ensure the safety of campers and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in the lead up to your arrival, if you or your travellers have any symptoms of COVID-19 such as a fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat or shortness of breath, you must cancel your booking. The entire deposit will be returned if you can provide us with a doctor's certificate or other evidence you were tested for COVID-19.
  • If symptoms of COVID-19 occur during your stay:
    • Phone the office and let the staff know
    • If you are staying in self-contained accommodation such as units or cabins, you or anyone staying with you must not use common areas such as the amenities blocks, BBQ area, laundry, table tennis area, basketball court, etc.
    • If you are camping, since you rely on using common areas such as the amenities block, you will be required to cancel the remainder of your stay.
    • All credit will be refunded once evidence is given that you or someone staying with you was tested for COVID-19, this may be done during your stay or once you get home.
  • Regular booking fees still apply for other cancellations
  • Full refunds will be given if the government restricts travel or accommodation once again due to COVID-19.

Peak Season Bookings

  • Cancellation requests within four months of the booking date will attract an administration fee of 50% of the deposit held up to a maximum of $150.
  • Cancellation requests within one month of the booking date will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit held, up to a maximum of $300.
  • Cancellation requests within 2 weeks of the booking date will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit held plus the value of the first week of the booking, up to a maximum of $980.
  • Cancellation requests within one week of the booking date, or during the booking will be charged in full, at the discretion of Management.

Off Season Bookings

  • Cancellation requests within one month of the booking date will attract an administration fee of 50% of the deposit held up to a maximum of $50.
  • Cancellation requests within 2 weeks of the booking date will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit held, up to a maximum of $100.
  • Cancellation requests within one week of the booking date will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit held plus the value of the first night of the booking.

In all cases, Substitution may apply at the discretion of Management.
